Who runs Tooth Compass
Tooth Compass is run by Wojciech Skrzek, founder, who builds and runs local business directories and is responsible for the data published here: importing and updating practice profiles, moderating owner submissions and edits, and handling correction requests.

Tooth Compass has no dentist, medical editor or clinical reviewer. Directory profiles and guides are not clinically or medically reviewed.
Where the data comes from
Business listing data. Most profiles start from public Google Business Profile data obtained through our data provider, DataForSEO (name, address, phone, website, coordinates, opening hours, photos, Google rating and review count). Ratings and review counts are stored values from that data, not live figures and not our own reviews.
Treatment categories. Practices appear on treatment pages based on the practice's own declared Google business categories, explicit treatment wording in its recorded name, description or service list, or a reviewed source from its official website. A treatment label is directory metadata, not proof that a procedure is currently offered.
Source-reviewed profiles. Selected profiles show details checked against the practice's official location page, with the source link shown on the profile. A review covers only what that page states.
NPI registry. Some profiles link to organization and dentist records in the public NPPES NPI registry. A record is shown only after a confident match on the practice's address, phone or name; partial matches are held for manual review. An NPI record confirms registration in that registry, not licensing status, experience or quality of care.
Owner submissions and edits. Practice owners can submit a listing, claim an existing profile and propose edits. Submissions and edits are reviewed before publication; owner-provided details are not independently verified.
Prices. Tooth Compass does not publish national or local treatment-price averages without a representative dataset. A practice must provide the current, itemized price for your case.
How profiles are ordered
City pages list active, labeled Sponsored placements first, then the remaining profiles by stored Google review count. Treatment pages, treatment-by-city pages and state pages list profiles by stored Google review count. The All dental practices list shows Sponsored placements first and then the newest profiles, with Newest and A-Z sorting available.
Review count is a public-profile signal. The order is not a quality ranking, a recommendation or an assessment of a clinician, treatment, safety or outcome. Payment cannot buy a rating, a review score or a position outside the labeled Sponsored placements.
Sponsored and Verified
Sponsored marks paid placement (the Sponsored plan). Every public paid placement carries the “Sponsored” label, and outbound links from paid plans are marked as sponsored for search engines.
Verified means an additional business identity, ownership or official-website check was completed when the badge was granted. It does not certify licensing, clinical quality, safety, prices or patient outcomes. Details are in the advertising policy.
Corrections
To report outdated or incorrect information, use the contact form with the topic “Report a listing”, or email hello@toothcompass.com with the profile or page URL, the field or passage in question and a reliable source, such as the practice's official website. Requests are compared with that evidence before a profile or guide is changed.
A directory, not dental advice
Tooth Compass is an independent directory, not a dental provider. Its pages are general consumer information and do not replace a consultation with a licensed dentist; they do not diagnose or recommend treatment. Confirm a practice's credentials, the treating clinician, insurance participation and the written price before any treatment.
